Taylor Made Golf Co Inc is seeking a Associate Specialist Collections

Under general supervision, the Associate Specialist, Collections administers the credit and collections for a regional portfolio comprising approximately 1,900 accounts, with receivables totaling $10-$12 million. This role serves as the primary internal and external contact for customers, providing financial status updates to Sales Representatives. The Associate Specialist reviews delinquent accounts and initiates collection activities to resolve outstanding issues, verifies and processes customer payment disputes, and ensures accurate financial records.

 

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data from the Get Paid software system to determine appropriate daily customer communications, making up to 100 customer contacts each day to ensure timely payment of receivables.
  • Review monthly aging reports to monitor and achieve collection targets and objectives.
  • Make decisions regarding the release of orders exceeding customer credit limits, within company approval levels.

Correct errors such as misapplied payments, reversing late charges, overpayments, and chargebacks.

  • Process, maintain, research, and monitor all documentation supporting the receipt, delivery, and dispersal of customer credit and collection data.
  • Complete the GetPaid collection queue daily.
  • Manage the communication of confidential customer financial information within the organization liaising approximately 20 Sales reps within their Region.
  • Address incoming calls related to various credit issues including invoice discrepancies, check application disputes, proof of delivery and requests for invoices and statements.
  • Proficiently utilize various software including Get Paid, Oracle financials, and Microsoft Office.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Possess a pleasant demeanor with strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with customers and team members.
  • Capable of working efficiently and accurately in an environment with frequent interruptions.

 

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; College credit preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of previous commercial collection experience or internal claims experience.

 

Performance Metrics:

  • Achieve a minimum of 100 customer contacts per day.
  • Meet or exceed monthly collection targets as outlined in aging reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate decisions regarding the release of orders above customer credit limits.
  • Maintain a high accuracy rate in correcting payment errors, including misapplied payments and chargebacks.
  • Consistently complete the GetPaid collection queue daily.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and resolution of credit issues.

 

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Primarily an office environment, with significant time spent in front of a computer screen for data entry and retrieval.
  • Requires being on the phone at least 50% of the day, making and receiving calls.
  • Regularly required to sit (Standing desk available at employee request)
  • Light physical effort, including the frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
